Description
Bridging the gap between PicoBOB and Flexi-HAL, the PicoBOB DLX keeps some of the compact and cost-effective design of the original PicoBOB and adds support for an i2c jogger such as the Jog2K, and ethernet.
From the Github:
An extended version of the original PicoBOB, the PicoBOB-DLX allows you to use either the MCU/Sender based GRBLHAL motion control system, or else it can act as a hardware step generator when connected to a LinuxCNC system over Ethernet. It is intended to be simple and low cost. It uses a Raspberry Pi RP2040 MCU and the widely available 5 axis Mach3 breakout board. It can also be used with the Gecko G540 as well as other devices that use a DB25 parallel port interface. The complete BOM and fabrications files are in the CAM_OUTPUTS folder for upload. The design is free to use by all parties, including commercial parties, under the CERN-OHL-S V2 license. It is our hope that the community finds the design useful and that it may be carried forward to help advance the PrintNC and broader CNC hobby community.
The PicoBOB-DLX closely tracks the features of the Mach3/LinuxCNC BOB:
- Up to 5 axes of step/direction control.
- 10A Spindle relay control.
- 0-10V analog spindle speed control.
- 5 general purpose inputs
- One general purpose output.
